General Data Protection Regulation

When you visit our website, your browser will download cookies. These are small text files that are exchanged between your device and our website and used to make the site work best.

As an Internet user, you can choose to decline storage and use of cookies. We recommend this article for a description of how to accept or reject cookies.

Today, our website is operated and maintained on NHO's servers, in collaboration with NHO ServicePartner and Fox Data AS.

CoreTrek AS is the manufacturer of CorePublish CMS, which we use for our website. From the summer of 2018, together with Fox Data AS, they will be responsible for technical development, operation and maintenance. These are cookies CorePublish uses on our website:

  • To make the publishing solution work: The cookie CorePublishSession. This is a "session cookie" that is removed from the computer when the user closes the browser. This cookie has a reference ID for a session file on the web server. The session file will not contain personal data for anonymous users, but may be used for intermediate storage, such as form data and search texts between pageviews. The session file will be deleted automatically within 15 minutes after the user has closed the browser or been idle and thus not permanently stored. Only system administrators have access to these session files.

  • To identify the type of device and browser you are using: the cookie Ctdevicecachekey; The cookie has a duration of one week and enables our website to present content to the right kind of device (PC, mobile, tablet, etc.). This cookie does not contain personal data.

We have not implemented techniques for forwarding articles in email or sharing articles in social media. Further handling of data that you as a visitor elects to share in social media is governed by your agreement with the relevant online community.

When you read our web pages, information will be stored in a statistics database. It stores information about which pages you have visitors have visited in a raw data table. No personal data is stored. This information will next be used to generate statistics for the number of pageviews per object (menu item, article, file), per host and per keyword. All data in the raw data table will be deleted after 2 days, and the remaining statistics then contain only summarized data that can not be used to identify each user.

We also use Google Analytics to save visitor data. IP addresses are not stored and it is not possible for us to link visitor statistics to each visitor. The visitor statistics are available only for the web editorial and IT departments of NHO ServicePartner and CoreTrek.

We store the user agent, ip address and which page visitors have visited in the web server logs. These logs are used solely for troubleshooting and security, and no data is extracted or used from these logs. The logs are deleted after a given interval (usually 4 weeks). Only administrators of the web server (operation) have access to these.

All logins are logged in a separate database table. The purpose is both to detect failed login attempts, detect and stop attempts at hacking and to see when and if a user logged in.

The login table stores the following data:

  • Username

  • Date and time for login

  • Which url was used when logging in

  • The user's ip address
